Paul Williamson(saxophone /vocals) has played in jazz, R&B and rock settings with such names as Vince Jones, Dire Straits,, Men At Work, Renee Geyer, Jo Jo Zep, Deep Purple, Black Sorrows, Daddy Cool, Tibetan Dixie, Jane Clifton, Way Out West, The Moovin' & Groovin Orch. He shone when given the opportunity to work with U.S visitors Jimmy McGriff(organ),Big Jay McNeely(saxophone), Lucky Peterson(organ), Cornell Dupree(guitar), Duke Robilllard (guitar) Betty Harris and Eddie Floyd (vocals) as well leading his own ensemble the ‘Paul Williamson Hammond Combo’ which started in 1991.
The band has released 5 CD’s ‘Red Hot Go’, ‘Live At The Esplanade’, 'Over The Rainbow' , 'Get Happy' and ‘Month of Mondays’ and has maintained long-running a residencies at venues like the Esplanade Hotel and Melbourne’s world famous Rainbow Hotel. The band has been playing there on Mondays since November 1991.
